The truck came on Tuesday. Nobody told you.
TruckAlert is a free WhatsApp alert that tells you when the waste truck is on your street. It works because neighbours who spot the truck let everyone else know.

Truck spotted on Adeniran Street! Bisi from No. 14 just saw it turn in. Bags out now if you can 🙏🏾7:42 am
Omo, thank you! Running out with them now 🏃🏾♀️7:43 am
Done ✅ Before today, your last pickup was 26 days ago. We'll ping you the moment someone sees the truck again.7:44 am
“Ours comes at random once a month, no pick up date.”
That comment is why this exists. Across many streets, people pay for collection but have no idea when the truck will actually come. Miss it by an hour and the bags sit there for weeks.
How it will work
- Tell us your street. Send a quick message on WhatsApp with your area and street name.
- Neighbours spot the truck. Whoever sees it first taps one button to say it's here.
- Everyone nearby gets a heads-up. You get a WhatsApp message in time to bring your bags out.
A quick note from me
Hi, I'm Tobi. I'm building TruckAlert because waste pickup shouldn't depend on luck. Before building anything, I want to hear from the people who live with this every week.
The survey below takes about a minute. It asks how often your truck comes and whether you'd find an alert useful. If you leave your WhatsApp number, I'll invite you when the alerts go live in your area. That's the only reason I'll message you.
Thank you for helping.
Tobi

Questions people ask
Is it really free?
Yes. The alerts will always be free for residents.
What do you do with my number?
We only use it to invite you to TruckAlert when it launches in your area. We don't sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete it anytime.
Are you part of LAWMA or the government?
No. TruckAlert is independent and isn't affiliated with LAWMA, any PSP operator or any government agency.
Which cities?
We're listening everywhere for now. Wherever the survey shows the biggest need is where alerts will launch first.
